About grammatikk.comGrammatikk.com provides pdf documents with explanations to Norwegian grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. The texts are intended for foreigners learning Norwegian. The aim is to provide fairly easy explanations in a language adapted for learners of Norwegian as a foreign language. They should therefore not be regarded as scientific papers. For the same reason, they do not always explain the topics at full depth. As the focus is more on practical use of the language than on theoretical explanation of Norwegian grammar, a simplified terminology is used in the documents.
Most of the documents are in Norwegian. However, some documents that are especially useful when starting to learn Norwegian, are in English. These documents are indicated by a All documents can be downloaded and printed free of charge. It is possible to send questions about grammar to the author, and also to join a mailinglist to be informed about updates. A list of updates can also be found here. Grammatikk.com is developed and run by Kjell Heggvold Ullestad, who is also the author of the texts. He is a lecturer in Norwegian for foreigners at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, Norway, and has more than 15 years of experience as a teacher in Norwegian for foreigners. Kjell Heggvold Ullestad has also published Norsk grammatikk enkelt forklart (Fagbokforlaget, 2020) and Grammatikk-tabeller (bokmål) (Fagbokforlaget, 2012/2019), and is a co-author of the online Norwegian course LearnNow (NTNU, 2013). |
